Kamal Amrohi's suspense thriller Mahal, with Ashok Kumar and Madhubala in the lead

was one of the biggest successes of 1949. And now we hear that Karan Darra's love

triangle Khamoshiyan is rumoured to be quite similar to the classic film. Television

star Gurmeet Choudhary, who is making his Bollywood debut with this movie says that

his film is very similar to Mahal. He adds, "It is a mix of many elements. But the film is

very interesting where you will get a lot of stuff worth watching. It has beautiful songs,

drama, suspense, everything". Khamoshiyan also starring Pakistani star Ali Fazal and

Sapna Pabbi, will release end of January 2015.

Director Mahesh Bhatt feels the upcoming supernatural drama Khamoshiyan is much ahead of his other production, the Raaz series in terms of content and visual effects.

Khanmoshiyan ahs all the potential to become a franchise like Raaz and Murder.

"Khamoshiyan is the new age erotic supernatural narrative. It takes a quantum leap from our super successful franchise of the Raaz series and adds more VFX magic to that idiom. The Khamoshiyan franchise is here to stay," Bhatt said in a statement.

Kahmoshiyan is already on its way to become a novel. Written by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, Khamoshiyan and his two other films 920 and 1920 - Evil Returns will turn into novels with never before published pictures and never known facts, which Bhatt will disclose in the book.

"It's a first for me and I'm excited to gauge the reaction to this marketing initiative," Vikram said.

Khamoshiyan is set for January 16 release

The compilation is set for January-end release.

Khamoshiyan, originally written as a sequel of 2011 Haunted - 3D, stars Television heartthrob Gurmeer Choudhary, debutant Sapna Pabbi and Ali Fazal and is set to release on January 30.

The film, being presented by Fox Star Studios, revolves around a young novelist who meets a mysterious woman while staying at her isolated guest-house to finish his book.
