Aishwarya Rai Bachchan offered two major cop roles

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is geared up for a comeback with Sanjay Gupta's action-adventure thriller Jazbaa, is in a bit of a dilemma.

She has been offered strong author-backed roles as female protagonists in two cops films being directed by Prakash Jha and Sujoy Ghosh. Understandably, she can only choose one.

Says a reliable source, "Aishwarya has been approached for both Sujoy Ghosh's Durga Rani Singh and Prakash Jha's Ganga Jal 2. She cannot do both, as playing two cops at around the same time would look repetitive. No matter how dissimilar the two cops' characters are, at the end of the day a heroine in khaki uniform would be a heroine in a khaki uniform."

Apparently, Aishwarya finds both the roles very interesting but then life is about choices, right? Sujoy Ghosh's project has been beleaguered by casting crises. Sujoy's first choice for the role Vidya Balan opted out making way for Kangana Ranaut who for reasons best known to her backed out after advanced negotiations. Sujoy then went to Kareena Kapoor who didn't want to play a mother to a growing daughter.

Aishwarya could step in to play Sujoy's one-woman rescue team.

She should sign the role that is more amazing of the two. But she already has too much on her plate. Jazbaa, Rohit Shetty's next and Karan Johar's next if true.

How many is she gonna sign? God knows which of these rumours are true. 😕

He is a freelancer but very influential. Has good connect with stars especially the Bachchans. Stars use him when they want something out in the media and want it to be covered in as many channels as possible. Thats why you will see almost every publication pick up his articles.

I think, you are overestimating his power. No one, except Aish and SLB, gives 'bhav' to him these days. May be once upon a time he was powerful like Khalid Mohamed, but not anymore. That's the reason these days he's started promoting 'chavanni chhap' actors/actresses (E.g. Shruti Hassan) associated with SLB.

No when I said influential I meant with the print media. I see his articles pretty much in every newspaper apart from TOI I guess. About the stars I am in no position to tell honestly. The Bachchans still use him as their mouth piece though and so do some other stars from time to time. Katrina for instance used him in 2013 when she was lobbying for films after D3. Khalid M was in a different league I think. He was more serious about cinema and seems disenchanted with BW now. Most stars I guess now have their PR done thru their PR managers who have contacts with other writers too.
