and I couldn't help but hate myself for appreciating Katrina MORE than Hrithik in this movie =S

I know her role wasn't fantastic, I know Hrithik was meant to be the big deal, and I definitely konw that Katrina still has a longgg way to go to be called a good actress.

BUt after both Bang Bang and Jab Tak Hain Jaan, I found Katrina to be a lot more bearable than her overtly chirpy counterparts. She tends to be stiff, but she still does a decent job at her role. I enjoyed her in Bang Bang, she was cutesy, funny, and did what she had to do basically. At no point did I find her irritating or as if she's overdoing it.

Does anyone get where I'm coming from

or do I just need to stop watching movies for awhile 😆

I don't thing she is the greatest actress either but yes, I found her comedy good in Bang Bang too. I think there were many comments in the BB review thread where people said they were pleasantly surprised by Katrina. So you are not alone!

may be we watched two different movies. She was as irritating as she has been in all her movies !!! 😆

Watch how many times she blinks in one scene. 😆 I'm glad I watched it at home, so I could fast forward all her parts.

HR was by far the only good thing (for me) in BB. Oh and the music too!

Katrina was the best thing in Dhoom 3 too.

The thing about Katrina is that she is likeable. She has a pleasant screen presence. She looks good, dances well, has a lovely smile and somehow that makes her screen time enjoyable. On the other hand her costars in Dhoom 3, JTHJ, Bang Bang seem to be trying too hard, trying to be too special and vying for attention that it comes off as a major turn off.

This by no means says that she is a good actress or a better actress. She is mediocre at best. Her range is still minimal. Majority of her appeal is still eye candy. But she just is one of those nice people who get more attention than they ever. That's because pleasant, ordinary, nice - these simple things have become a rarity these days. That's been Katrina's secret to staying viable in an industry where she doesn't have the actual talent to.

I'm not a fan of Katrina on screen. I like her personality off- screen though. Sure she is pleasant to look at and hot and dances really well but that's all there is to her. I cringe when people say she got praised for Rajneeti or MBKD or ETT or New York. Seriously, those are her landmark performances?

But I do agree with this post. And Dhoom3 too. She was definitely better than her 'counterparts'. Hrithik tries too hard. I read someone mentioned Hrithik worked so hard for this movie. I, for one, didn't see anything of him in terms of acting, dancing or even action. I don't understand what 'hard' these people are stressing about? Building an extra pack? The action in this movie was pretty lame. D2 was a bad movie but at least some action scenes were shot and choreographed well. Bang bang was more like a bad comedy...really bad. I hate to admit, I did enjoy some comedy scenes though.

But I'm still so mad i wasted my time and money on this movie. If you are spending so much in a movie, at least take some time to develop your script. So many loopholes one after the other.

I'm tired of some people saying 'What can you expect, it's a Bollywood movie'. Such a shame that movies like these, D3, Kick rake in moolah and people continue to watch and praise. The movie makers will never learn. They probably think why invest so much time on script when they're making millions?

I understand that some people enjoy such movies. Every movie is flawed. But it would be nice if they'd give some time to building a good script. Make it more flowing. At least, the movie would be bearable to watch. Or is it that hard?
