The vivacious Anushka Sharma will be seen in an entirely new avatar in her upcoming film P.K.. Yes, for the first time the actress is going to sport short hair in any film.

Though Anushka Sharma's poster from Aamir Khan-starrer PK' is not yet out, her look in the movie is no more a secret. The actress is sporting cropped hair in the much-anticipated film, and a few pictures from the sets showing her in the new look, has started doing the rounds of the web.

It's learnt that Anushka was required to cut her hair for the film, but the actress couldn't do so due to other film commitments. Thus a wig of desired look was ordered, and Anushka has worn it for most of the film.

"Director Rajkumar Hirani was keen to have Anushka don this look. He tried quite a few looks before finalising this one. Rajkumar thinks that this hairdo adds a new dimension to her personality and character...," a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid.

Anushka couldn't chop her hair for she was also shooting the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Bombay Velvet, and her home production, NH10 at the same time.

As visible in the pictures, the wig suits Anushka to a T. It's being said that the unit members were earlier skeptical about her look, but seeing the actress pulling off the look rather well, their doubts were won over.

Anushka Sharma's role in the movie is said to be that of a journalist who likes writing on unusual subjects. Sushant Singh Rajput apparently plays her beau in 'PK'.
