All the more reason to go watch Haider and support it.

Haider is a fictional story. It shows one narrow slice of issues in Kashmir. That does not mean it supports or promotes the narrative portrayed in a movie. It is merely telling a story for entertainment purposes.

We also need to understand that even in reality there are many perspectives to an issue. Based on the context and background people view situations differently. Secondly, armies are not infallible or flawless. They can be heroic, noble, brave, self sacrificing and great. They can also be cruel, barbaric, murderous, insensitive and despicable. Every country sees their army in a positive light. It is patriotic and usually the right thing to do. But we must not be blind that sometimes for people trapped in circumstance - the view can be radically different. We need to open our minds to see the world through the eyes of different people. You don't have to agree or buy it, but just gain perspective.

When it comes down to competition, it's not always about the best skater, its about who skates the best in that competition. Competition is competition in the end. Seniority doesn't matter.

Even public WOM looks good and 8 cr in just 1200 screens for such a genre is a huge thing . I was expecting 3-4 cr opening 😆

Has any member here watched the film? Is the army shown in a bad light? Even if it is, it's a film at the end of the day ... Those tweets seem few and exaggerated.

Watched the movie. For a country that has fundamental right to speech in it's constitution don't understand what people are getting riled up about(yeah I get they are exercising their right to free speech. How ironical). This was about afspa. Something irom sharmila has been fighting since years. It's a great movie. thought provoking and serious matters when handled well do greater good for the society in large. Will review later.

Also lets not forget the movie was cleared by the censor board. Unnecessary controversy for nothing. Psh.
