The Bollywood actor is apparently not doing Ram Madhvani's film due to financial differences
Kajol was supposed to make her comeback with director Ram Madhvani's film. But it looks like she's now having second thoughts about the project. An industry source tells us that the actor is not doing the film anymore, due to some issues. "The deal has fallen through because of some financial differences, despite the film being co-produced by her husband, Ajay Devgn," says the insider from the production house backing the film. The project was set to start in October, but with Kajol dropping out, the makers are now looking to rope in a replacement. "Ram is still looking for the right actor for the lead role," adds the source.
Incidentally, word seems to have spread in the industry, and the makers have been approached by various actors who wish to be part of the film, which is supposed to be an adaptation of the popular Norwegian television thriller, Penoza. "Ram has been receiving calls from some actors, but he is buying time to zero-in on the final name," says the source.
We tried contacting Kajol, but she wasn't available for a comment. The spokesperson of the production house, however, confirmed the news.
