At least this explains SSR's long hair.

We had actually thought he was growing the hair for the first look of this film..😆.. but woh toh hua nahi.. I am now hoping that he hasn't grown them for Paani..

SSR's hair is similar to MS's if he grows a bit longer it would suit the character and body structure face etc resembles MSD

As written on the poster, the company producing the movie is Inspired Entertainment- a group company of Rhiti sports, which manages Dhoni. I guess that is the reason behind 'Why Dhoni?' It probably benefits everyone concerned in multiple ways.

He didn't quit Paani. His publicist issued an official statement today that he is very much part of Paani.

I am guessing that this film will cover Dhoni's life till the point India won its second World Cup. It was a historical moment for our generation and something that may interest a filmmaker to capture in a film. I am not very sure about Baby's shooting schedule, but Sushant is free till December. So, is it possible that shooting for this film takes place during this time? Sushant's hair is all overgrown and coloured...there must be a reason for it.

Sushant has given more than a year for Paani, he will not leave it. Shooting for Paani will be a different experience altogether as many Hollywood professionals are already working on the film's VFX, I doubt Sushant will want to miss an opportunity like this.
