Ok went thru the tweets. Looks like it is on. I am not interested honestly. I dont think Dhoni has the sort of life that lends itself to a biopic. Sushant is a total misfit for the charming rouge Dhoni too. I am instead looking forward to Azhar's biopic which has Emraan Hashmi.

Continuing the trend of biopics on great sportspersons, a new Hindi film by director Neeraj Pandey will narrate the tale of India's captain cool, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Contrary to rumours, the film is very much in the pipeline and not scrapped. The movie is titled M.S. Dhoni and will feature Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role.

The first look poster was unveiled on Thursday by Dhoni's wife Sakshi on Twitter.

"Clearing out all those rumours being carried out past few days.It was all false.. Here you go ...BOOM !!!" she wrote and shared the poster.

There have been rumours of Mahendra Singh Dhoni demanding an astronomical sum of money to hand over the rights to his biopic. Director Neeraj Pandey had scotched those rumours.

Then there was the talk that BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) had objected to the film. But BCCI has made it clear that it doesn't interfere in cricketers lives outside the domain of cricket.

Sushant Singh Rajput will undergo training in cricket and wicket-keeping to play Dhoni on screen. The movie will roll in 2015.
