Hrithik-Katrina Go Bang Bang With Haider Shahid In Hot Persuit ; Khoobsurat Sonam Spoils Parineetis Daawat! - Abid Let us know what you think about this box-office report

Gandhi Jayanti, saw the release of (perhaps) one of the biggest films of the year, Siddharth Anand's Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer, 'Bang Bang!'. The day also saw the release of one of the most accomplished directors of recent era, Vishal Bhardwaj's Shahid and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Haider'.
While it was obvious that 'Bang Bang!' would set the box-office on fire (which it did), what came as a pleasant surprise was the performance of the superbly crafted 'Haider'.
As per the initial estimates during the opening 8-days, 'Bang Bang!' (4200 screens - India) has netted 120 crore while Haider (1200 screens India) managed a decent 40 crore.

While 'Bang Bang!' is superb in the Overseas (UK600,000 ; US$1,449,215), 'Haider' is decent (UK90,000 ; US$550,000).

PS: 2nd update. The collection report is not too exact as the other one, just love the execution of those movies fate by this team regarding 1st week/2nd week and overseas' collection.

KS behind FF, MC and Mardaani in overall collections wow..whereas KS Is the movie with family entertainment theme, the handsome Fawad and even a song on Sonam's non-existing bum.
