Daawat-e-Ishq Opening Day Performance Daawat-e-Ishq movie has been promoted a lot and has caught the attention of the movie goers. Audience was keenly excited to watch this film as Aditya-Parineeti and the marketing team has left no stone unturned in the promotion resulting in high response on the opening day of release. Yes, this film has released today and the audience response towards the film is quite positive as per the recent reports received. Promos and teasers of Daawat-e-Ishq already have ensured that the movie gets a decent start at the grand opening day as well as the owning weekend. Daawat-e-Ishq Friday (First Day) Collections - Estimates

in Box office Report September 20, 2014 0

According to early estimates Daawat E Ishq has collected around 4.5 cr on the first day Friday at the box office. The collections are below average considering the very big release size.

Daawat-E-Ishq has opened to dull response at the box office in the morning shows. The movie was expected to work in small town multiplexes but not much in single screens. The film could not show much growth in the evening and night shows. The opening in single screens was not upto the mark. In spite of releasing in around almost double the number of screens as Finding Fanny, the opening numbers are pretty close. Daawat -E-Ishq has released in around 1900+ screens which is a very big release for such a film. The movie has to show some big growth on Saturday and Sunday to survive at the box office

Few very early territory estimates are as follows - Rajasthan -23+ lakhs, CP-Berar - 21+ lakhs, CI :- 18 lakhs etc.

Just came back from watching DEI! Enjoyed the movie immensely! Don't know what the critics are griping about.

My review :

After a long time, YRF have come out with a movie which has a story. They have also refrained from the over-the-top Hyderabadi lingo (made famous by Mehmood), but the essence is there to be savoured.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ To ARK for superbly effortless and natural acting 👏

Pari is also good, but it's just a variation of her previous roles.

Anupam Kher is such a veteran actor that he can do almost any role without much thought process.

The dialogues are funny and quite witty. The typical phrases used in Hyderabad were utilised and being a Hyderabadi myself I enjoyed them hugely. Except for the title track, the music was a big letdown.

All-in-all a good movie. The duration seemed too short to me 😊 Even my hyper-critical hubby enjoyed it.

One major blooper - Gullu and her dad are shown living a stone's throw from the iconic Charminar. Qadir works in the Andhra high court, about 15-20 minute ride away. But it is shown as an hour and thirty minute ride via the Tank Bund 😉 (a conservative estimate)

4/5 stars (minus 1 for unimaginative music)
