Spoilers alert...
Saw the movie...
what a cute time pass..I wouldnt mind seeing it again, in fact.
I cant fathom why people arent going to watch it, unless its
because they dont like the mention of 'dowry' and its evils
in it. Keeps one entertained from start to finish.
Loved parineeti in it..I like her in any movie..you know you
are going to get your moneys worth in acting..but i get where
the people complaining about repetitiveness are coming from.
Aditya...what a surprise package..compare the Adi in Aashiqui
to the Adi in Daawat and you can see his range. Such an
effortless performance in spite of the fact that he plays somewhat
of an unpolished guy here, a bawarchi at that. I would say
playing the good hearted even tempered guy helped him since
he is like that in real life but he brought a completely different
nuance to the character from his usual self...
Now, if only someone would cast him in an action movie
James Bond types making full use of his suave looks and
tall figure...make him act 'cool'. I bet the girls running after
Hrithik, ranveer and Ranbir would flock to him instead.
Bottom line...
I loved the movie...go watch it. Its something different from
the usual disco phisco type scenario macho wacho hero, fashionista
heroine, arch villain gunda, melodramatic parents, inlaws and
what have you...
the music is a bonus.
