@Blue: Both aren't related. Eve kat's open letter was about the right of privacy not about wearing a bikini. Ppl that criticized her for wearing a bikini were silenced by a lot of ppl that supported her in saying that it's a beach, she's allowed to wear what she wants--plus she has a hot body so why not wear it. The problem was when asked for the privacy and I think that's the big difference. Even this forum came down on her after her open letter for privacy. I don't think anyone or at least not the majority poked fun at her for wearing a bikini.

The problem with Deepika's statement is the "Little careful" part b/c someone can point to Deepika right now and say, then why weren't you careful with your cleavage. And deepika recently came out in support for Shweta too, so I think maybe Deepika know understands what goes around, comes around and hopefully learned from her blunder. Either way, Deepika had a statement and I don't think anyone or even her, herself thought this was gonna catch on. But it did.

Someone made a comment about her cleavage...and then said it was a compliment...and she defended herself...How do these situations even match...can someone please explain...that how are u guys putting 2+2 together?? Remember that I am a Kat fan and I was mighty pissed when Deepu said this about Kat...but how is that related to this incident is my question???

Same here even I was pissed when deepika passed those insesitive comments and played along with media . Were as people like salman stood for katrinas right for dignity and respect. The thing common in both case is media peeping in womens private parts . Katrinas bikini was scrutinised , here deepikas clevage was scrutinised. Only thing different is deepika supported then media for same and now is screaming at top of her voice when her body parts are looked upon as sex object. Now thats hypocrisy.

For some people , Every thing Deepika say or do is publicity stunt .. 😉
Seriously, people are over reacting to Deepika personal reaction to that tweet.
Some people bring other actresses' cases and ask why they were not supported by people and industry .. What is Deepika problem if these actresses have not stood for themselves, and what is her mistake if people and industry choose to support her more than other .. or maybe she did not forced or paid them to do so. :P
She is defending and taking stand for herself. Full stop

but it is really isn't surprising. The criticism is without any credibility as the same very same bunch people jump on DP for any comment by her.

Would've supported any actress taking a stand against this BUT Deepika. She finds it okay when other women are targeted, heck.. she doesn't even hesitate to pass some ridiculous remarks. But when it happens to her, you suddenly have a complete outrage. Supportt.. my foot 🥱

I don't understand why to bring Kat here in this thread. She is not related or even talked abt in the articles but ppl are constantly bringing her again n again and creating DP vs Kat fan war.

So what if she didn't stand up for Katrina?

At least we as ordinary humans can take a stand against all forms of misogyny irrespective of who the victim or perpetrator is. Why divide into petty camps of Deepika vs. Katrina?

I take pride in the fact that I have stood for Deepika, Shweta Basu, Katrina and even Sunny Leone. All women are equal for me and deserve dignity.

DP's photograph when she was holidaying with Ranveer in NYC and having breakfast was circulating everywhere. That was also a leaked photograph. She didn't object & complained about privacy. And the issue for which DP raised her voice was this:
Times Of India had tweeted a link to the gallery, but later deleted it. The gallery, however, is still up on the site. The video taken of her appears to be seeking a shot of her chest as it's filmed from above. Her face is rarely in focus. The original footage used by TOI comes from a YouTube channel that specialises in sleazy videos of actress' bodies.

Why is it even considered an outburst? It is a simple statement.

Statement

"Haha OMG! BOOBS BOOBS!"

"Big Deal! News Flash - women have boobs!"

Outburst

"Haha OMG! BOOBS BOOBS!"

"OMG sacrilege! You mofo, you need to be kicked in the nut sack for your misogyny"

"C'mon everyone join me to teach this douche bag a lesson"

None expected DP to support Kat, but she made it look like it was Kat's fault. Totally unnecessary comment.

Bravo to deepika who stood for herself and it has nothing to do with shifting back focus to herself coz of average performance of her movie. Well well thibgs would be clear when just in few months time she will be clicking pics and sending gifts to editors and cheif editor of filmfare and times of india .
