Didn't they say HNY crossed $ 13 million mark oversease? Which is 79 cr. How come 187 cr + 79 cr make 222 cr? It should be 266 cr., right?

@ Bold Red: LOL. Regional is only 5 cr. Halve it and YRF would get only 2.5 cr from there.

Watched the film. I loved it!!!! They could have shortened the beginning part a little because second half is absolutely HOWLarious!!!!!!
Abhishek is freaking awesome and hilarious. I loved him in the film. OMG at his stripping scene, the audience was in splits. Couldn't stop laughing the whole way through even afterwards. LOL and Ewww at him Vomiting.

Deepika was great, I loved her in the film. She was really good and fun to watch. Her English and the song that plays when SRK starts speaking English. hahaha

Boman was Good, great in some parts but overall really good. Could have had a better part. But lol at his fits.

Vivaan was okay/good. Not that bad but not bad for his second film. Cute!

Sonu Sood was okay, bad in some parts. He had some good parts but mostly due to the dialogue or situation itself. LOL!!!

Last but certainly not the least my fav SRK. Loved him, he wasn't over at all like in some places of Chennai. He was really funny and acted great. I loved him. LOL I can't be objective and critical of him.

I loved the film, just that if it was more like the last 1.5 hours it would have been even better. But STILL I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! Was in splits most of the time. Like with them learning how to dance and lol at when SRK would start speaking about DP badly at the wrong the time. Haahahaha!!!

Loved the film. Now I can't wait till SRK does Raees and Fan. Next I want a true romantic SRK film.

Happy New Year is going steady at the Box Office. Farah Khan's big Diwali release was one of the fastest films to make Rs.100 crores at the Domestic Box Office.

Now on its 15th day, this movie stands at a total collection of Rs. 194.50 crores at the domestic Box Office, as per a report on Koimoi.com.

He's the badshah of Bollywood and he has proved it once again. SRK's big Diwali release Happy New Year (HNY) has been going steady at the Box Office. HNY has broken many records at the BO and now the movie has beaten Salman Khan's Kick. According to a report on Koimoi.com, Happy New Year has made 89 crores gross at the India box office and the film has collected 15 million in the Overseas market, thus grossing 379 crores worldwide. Shah Rukh's film has beaten the worldwide collections of Kick and Krrish 3.

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' crosses worldwide collections of Salman Khan's 'Kick'

Thursday, 13 November 2014 - 9:21pm IST | Agency: DNA Webdesk

Shah Rukh Khan's Diwali release Happy New Year which recently entered the Rs 200 crore club two days back has been performing steadily over its third week, with collections dipping in the weekdays. Although the SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer will not beat Salman Khan-Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick at the domestic box office, HNY has overtakenKick's worldwide collections already.

Although Kick performed well at the overseas arena, SRK given his strong fan base around the globe struck gold raking in around $15 million from its international markets. Kick had collected around Rs 233 crore nett and Rs 309.89 crore gross in the domestic box office followed with $11.10 million which is around Rs 68 crore in the overseas arena. In total Kick had its lifetime worldwide gross at Rs 377 crore.

On the contrary, SRK's HNY could not perform better than Kick at the domestic market and has made around Rs 200.50 crore nett till today. The film's domestic gross is around Rs 289 crore. But the film has outperformed the Salman starrer at the global arena bringing in over $15 million which is around Rs 90 crore. Hence HNY's total worldwide gross stands at Rs 379 crore and is still counting.

The film will definitely not be able to catch up with Salman's Kick at the Indian box office but overall, SRK's HNY has turned out to be a winner. All that we need to see now is whether the Farah Khan film overtakes Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots which has a worldwide gross of Rs 395 crore.
