DON 3 ?????

DIRECTOR FARHAN AKHTAR WILL ALSO BE SEEN PLAYING A KEY ROLE ALONGWITH SHAH RUKH KHAN IN THE THIRD PART

Sneha Mahadevan I a casting coup of sorts, Excel Entertainment's grand plans for Don 3 seem to have materialised as Farhan Akhtar will now be seen in front of the camera. After directing two blockbusters, Don and Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan has decided to cast himself in the third installment of the popular franchise. While Shah Rukh Khan will continue to reprise the role of Don, Farhan too will be playing an important part in the film.

Our source reveals, Farhan directed the first two installments with Shah Rukh Khan and they went on to become huge hits. While he did have to face a bit of comparison issues with the original Don, the film still managed to rake in the moolah and did fairly well at the box- office. The sequel too was very well received by the audience and was a success once again. After that, though Farhan was toying with the idea of continuing the franchise and he was planning on the next installment, it wasn't until recently that he decided to be part of it.

Obviously, he will be directing the film but he has also decided to play an important part. SRK will continue to play Don but Farhan will also have an equally important role, almost like a parallel lead.

Currently they are working on the finer details but SRK has agreed in principle to do the film.' Don 3 will go on the floors next year after Farhan and SRK wrap up all their prior professional commitments. Currently the film is in the scripting stage and will be produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan's Excel Entertainment. We sent text messages to Farhan and SRK asking about this development but they remained unavailable for comment.
