Its frustrating that the Khans, Roshans release their movies during Eid, xmas, diwali and then they have highest grossing films.

I give someone like Emraan Hashmi more credit, he's not worked with big banners or big actresses opposite him, yet his films work at BO. He's films aren't released in major holidays/festivals.

erm no when did I say all credit goes to holiday and not stars? What I'm saying is that holiday seasons make a huuge impact on the overall collections. It makes a hell of a lot more impact. There's a reason why Jai Ho made less money than Kick.

The stars obviously have a big impact, but if the movies weren't released during festival periods then the overall BO would be a lot different.

again your misinterpreting what I'm saying. I didn't say the Khans are less popular or on par with Ranbir, Ajay, Akshay etc. Obv the Khans are more popular hence their movies are bigger successes. I'm simply saying holidays do make a huge difference.

About Jai Ho: if the khans are huge stars then they shouldn't need an a league heroine for their film to be a success. Nor should the songs matter, Salman's name should be enough. Had Jai Ho released on eid, it would have made a LOT more money than it did.
