I beg to differ. You took the meaning of his old friend term for Katrina literally. When reading between the lines, when any guy says that about a woman he was involved with romantically/sexually, it means history. That is a very mechanical term when used in context of romantic relationships, past or present. Common knowledge.

Good friend on the other hand is a BW euphemism for a significant other. But he didn't call her that here, did he? He called her an old friend. Big difference. 😆

"Main Katrina ko bohut pehle se jaanta hoon" means I have known her for a very long time. Ranbir was refuting recent rumors of him visiting Katrina's family citing he met her mom on APKGK sets.

Btw I think these Katrina- Hrithik rumors are just for bang bang promotions. Hrithik sounds very conscious of his image as father and he doesn't seem happy about his divorce too. I think if he ever remarries or dates he would with a girl outside film industry.

What on earth are you talking about? 😆 The article doesn't even have any Hindi usage in it. Where did you get that from. The responses on this thread are based on the article posted on the first page, obviously.
