Singham Returns Does Mind Blowing 1st Weekend Business | Early Estimates

Singham Returns pulled off an amazing business for the first weekend. The film collected, 32 crores on Friday, 20-21 crores on Saturday and approximately 26-27 crores on Sunday. According to early estimates, the first weekend business for Singham Returns is in the range of 78-79 crores at the domestic box office.

Looking at the current pace of the film, it seems that Singham Returns will turn out to be Ajay Devgn's fastest run at the coveted 100 crore club. Salman Khan's Kick which is currently the Highest Grosser of 2014, reached the 100 crore figure in 5 days and it seems Singham Returns too is going the same way. Considering the film has created enough hype and has a good word of mouth publicity, it seems the film will hold well on Monday too and that is where the film has good chances to fasten its pace to the desirable 100 crore figure.

All Time Top Ten Opening Weekends - Singham Returns Fourth

Singham Returns recorded the fourth highest opening three days collections ever after Dhoom 3, Chennai Express and Kick. It was second best for 2014 after Kick. Kick did not any benefit of a holiday in its first three while days Singham Returns had one holiday. The other releases in the top ten without a holiday are Dhoom 3 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Singham Returns is by far the biggest opening for an Ajay Devgn starrer beating Bol Bachchan which was around 40 crore nett. Infact the collections of Singham Returns are almost double of Bol Bachchan.

Dhoom 3 heads the charts with around 95 crore nett and that century weekend being elusive but at least one of Bang Bang, Happy New Year and Peekay should get there, if not all three. Below are the all time top opening weeeknds.

1st week def around 120cr

lifetime likely to be around 165-170cr unless the film drops big time in the 2nd 3rd week

77cr for the weekend is damn great now the wom and tremd will spoke 150cr is minimum for the film and i think the final result will be 160-180cr

Box Office: Singham Returns becomes 2nd Highest Opening Weekend GrosserBy Bollywood Hungama News Network
The Rohit Shetty directed Ajay Devgn - Kareena Kapoor starrer Singham Returns that released on Friday opened to a roaring start.

In this Box Office report, we compare the Opening Weekend collections of Singham Returns to that of previously released films. Not surprisingly, Singham Returns that had the added advantage of a somewhat extended weekend takes the second spot collecting Rs.77.64 crores. Out beating previous releases like Salman Khan's Jai Ho that collected Rs.60.68 crores, Ek Villain that collected Rs.50.70 crores and Gunday that managed Rs.43.93 crores.

However, the film failed to beat the record of Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick that collected Rs. 83.83 crores on its Opening Weekend.
