Just came back from the movie. Loved it. This strictly a film for masala lovers. And if you loved the first Singham.

Story is decent for a masala film. Action, screenplay and cinematography are the best thing about this film along with Ajay of course. It's your typical Rohit Shetty film. Very very entertaining. Everytime Ajay comes on screen you want to whistle for him. He's perfect as Bajirao Singham. Kareena's character is OTT and loud but Bebo does full justice to what she was suppose to do. She makes the audience laugh and giggle. Not cringeworthy at all..even though it's easy to be annoying in this type of role..Kareena was adorable. She has amazing screen presence and looks drop dead gorgeous. Her cuteness works for her in this film. And both kids and the adults were laughing at her comedy scenes. My favorite scene of hers is the selfie scene. Other supporting cast are good. I liked the reporter in the film. Daya is good in fits into the film well but he barely has anything to do. And the villain is very good actor. Unlike what the critics said..I thought he was a good villain. My favorite songs in the film is the Honey Singh song and Sun Le Zara. The Singham R theme songs were good as well.

Only negative side of the film is the length...it was way too long. Editing could have been way way better. Some of the action scenes are way too long as well. That song Kuch Toh Hua should have been left out of the film.

And with this, the movie is successful in breaking the records of Salman Khan's Kick. The SinghamReturns made a position in top 4 Highest 1st Friday collection of Bollywood. The sequence for the same is: Dhoom 3, Ek Tha Tiger, Chennai Express, and SinghamReturns. (Singham Returns 3rd Day Collection).

The SinghamReturns now comes under the category of movies of Ajay Devgn with Highest Opening Day Collection.

When we compare the 1st Friday Collection of Singham and its sequel. Then there is difference of 21 Crores. The Singham was collected 9 Crores on 1st Friday. On the other hand the SinghamReturns has collected around 30 Crores on Opening Day. It collected 20 cr on its 2nd day and thus its total 2 days collection stands up to 53 cr at domestic level. Now, let's move on to Singham Returns 1st Sunday Box Office Report.

Today, the occupancy for the morning shows gone decent. The occupancy increases for Noon and late night shows and successful to collect good amount. The SinghamReturns is going on well is only because of Ajay Devgan and the director Rohit Shetty.

The movie is going awesome in regions of Maharashtra and Gujarat. This is natural because these regions are known for the highest contributors for Box Office Collection for any Bollywood movie in INDIA. The region, Delhi and Punjab are considered to be second highest contributor for BO collections.

The Singham Returns 1st Sunday Box Office Collection will be updated to exact figure after collecting the data from all over the country by tomorrow's morning.

The occupancy is going on decreasing day by day. The today's morning occupancy is approximately 55%. Later on, its occupancy increased and on an average, it registered an occupancy of 80% for the whole day. It seems that its first weekend collection is going to be in the range of 80 cr (3 days total) which can be considered as very good for any film.

Now, it is giving strong competition to Salman Khan's Kick movie. Currently, it is the highest grosser of the year 2014.

Back in 2011, when SINGHAM released, the character of Bajirao Singham became an instant hit with moviegoers. The forceful drama, the remarkable confrontations between Singham [Ajay Devgn] and his opponent Jaykant Shikre [Prakash Raj], the raw and gritty stunts, the clap worthy dialogue... SINGHAM was a complete package and expectedly, the devoted fans of masala movies embraced the film warmly. Naturally, everyone was curious to know when Reliance, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty would announce the second installment of SINGHAM.

Over the years, Rohit Shetty has become a reputable brand, with six back-to-back hits, which includes three Rs 100 crore grossers [GOLMAAL-3, BOL BACHCHAN, SINGHAM] and one Rs 200 cr grosser [CHENNAI EXPRESS]. The expectations from SINGHAM RETURNS, expectedly, were humongous and its release was perfectly timed too -- 15 August [Independence Day].

SINGHAM RETURNS started on a thunderous note and the national holiday helped the film surpass the Day 1 biz of KICK by a couple of crores, thus emerging the highest opener of 2014 [so far]. The film maintained its speedy run over the weekend, collecting a big, fat total in its opening weekend and marching gallantly towards the *lifetime business* of SINGHAM [Rs 100.30 cr nett]. Monday being a partial holiday, the film should add a substantial figure to the booty, while the film is expected to cross Rs 100 cr nett on Day 5 [Tuesday].

The question is, will SINGHAM RETURNS maintain its momentum over the weekdays [Tuesday onwards]. I genuinely believe it will, since the audience feedback is beyond positive. The question is, will SINGHAM RETURNS touch Rs 200 cr nett mark? It's a wait and watch situation right now.

Singham Returns has taken the nation by storm and has started well again on Monday at ticket counters. Film has opened to 40-45% occupancy in Morning Shows which is just fantastic. Film is now into weekdays, but there is semi Holiday today in places across India. Still such start is good as film is set to show growth through the day. Single Screens report are awaited for the film, but looking at previous day reports film is expected to do well there from word go.

Singham Returns opens well in Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune, Lucknow. Start in Hyderabad and Kanpur is decent and jump expected there in later part of the day. Overall film has opened well in Morning and looks like another big day on cards.

Film has already collected a near about 78-80 crore nett in first weekend at box office. Looking at trends film is now certain to go near 95 crore nett by the end of Monday. Film is set to touch 100 crore on Tuesday, that means in 5 days flat.

Singham Returns Has Excellent First Weekend

Singham Returns had an excellent weekend of around 74 crore nett approx making it the second highest weekend weekend of 2014 and the fourth highest weekend of all time after Dhoom 3, Chennai Express and Kick.

The film did phenomenal business in Mumbai circuit with a figure of close to 30 crore nett over the weekend. The difference between the first Singham and this Singham is the rest of the country where Singham Returns has fared much better. Singham released in 2011 had a ratio of 52% business outside Mumbai circuit while Singham returns has over 60%. Rajasthan CP Berar, CI, UP and Bihar are also fantastic.

There is a holiday on Monday and although its not an all India holiday, the major grossing areas for hindi films will have a holiday. North, Rajasthan and Gujarat will be off for Janmashtami while Maharashtra will have a holiday for Parsi New Year. This should give a healthy boost to collections.
