Singham Returns Sunday Box Office Collection Update

Singham Returns continued its glorious run in theatres on Sunday. Business throughout the country has picked up on Sunday. The average growth in business at most centres that we tracked till early evening (4PM shows) was around 30% higher than Saturday.

Sunday collections is likely to be around 26-27 crore or more when the final collections come in. The Rohit Shetty directed film is carrying fantastic word-of-mouth publicity and the trend over the weekend suggests that it should hold up well on Monday too.

The weekend business of Singham Returns will be just about 20% lesser than the total collections of the first film Singham which released in 2011.

Singham Returns will be one of the fastest films to the 100 crore mark, equalling the 5-day record of Salman Khan's Kick earlier this year. In the all-time list, Singham Returns will only be behind Dhoom 3 (3 days), Chennai Express (3 day including paid previews) and Krrish 3 (4 days).

Can Singham Returns cross the 200 crore mark like Rohit Shetty's last film Chennai Express? Unlikely, as it doesn't have enough holidays in the next few days.

Friday - 32.09 cr
Saturday - 21.05 cr
Sunday - 26 cr+
Total Weekend Collections - 79.14 cr (expected)

I watched the film and loved it. Kareena was pretty much useless. Only scene of hers that I liked was when she bashes the reporter.

Singham Sunday (3rd Day) Collection Early Trends.

Singham Returns is just unstoppable on Sunday (3rd Day) as family audiences are coming in numbers to watch this flick. Film started well in Morning shows. After that picked up huge in Noon-Afternoon to register Housefull boards. As per latest film is holding well across every part of India. Film is just weaker in few places in Southern India, else everywhere it is rocking.

Singham Returns open to 55-60% occupancy in Morning shows. After that film registered humongous 85%+ occupancy in Noon-Afternoon shows. Film is right now enjoying excellent 75-80% occupancy as samples are received. Still major single screen reports for day are awaited, but as from news coming it is rocking there also. Hence, if film does well in Night and Late Night shows, expect another monumental day on cards.

It is too early to make any predictions, but looking at trends film should go past 25 crore nett mark. Touching 30 crore for day will be tough unless Night shows rock everywhere. Realistically number should be anywhere between that zone, which is just mind blowing. First Weekend collection of Singham Returns now seems to be in the range of 78-80 crore nett range and that's a almost certainty now.
