'Many babes out there are jealous of me'...says Isha Koppikar who has bagged the "smartest dude in Bollywood" – SRK – as her on-screen boyfriend
Isha Koppikar is tired of living down the Khallas girl reputation. "Khallas is history, why are people still talking about it?" she asks, and not without some exasperation. After all, the girl has much more to look forward to now, like Shah Rukh Khan.
"I know there are many babes out there who are jealous of me, and would give anything to be in my shoes," she smiles. "My role in Don is just great. I play Anita, SRK's girlfriend.
I really did not have to mould myself into the character because Farhan Akhtar made it so simple," she adds. And what about SRK? "Considering Shah Rukh is the King Khan of Bollywood, I thought he would be this highly professional person who would just keep to himself.
But SRK has a rocking sense of humour. His practical jokes are just too good," Isha says. But while her reel life is rocking, what about her significant other in real life? "There is nobody. I am single and ready to mingle," she answers.
There is another thing that is giving Isha a high these days. "My gym! Thanks to Don, I had to lose a lot of weight and now, the gym is like my second home," she says.
The damsel recently walked the ramp in Delhi too, "On more than two occasions I've had really weird experiences while walking the ramp. Once someone hid my shoes before the show, and the second time, I had chewing gum in my hair," she smiles.
But like everything else, Isha takes such "experiences" in her stride. "I am a 'live and let live' person. I'm a very bindaas and a people's person. We all just get one lifetime and I want to live mine to the fullest. Therefore, I never say never".
