actually i dont think so..

he was blamed for being in pakistan's support..

so the last match should have been with pakistan so that the daag could be removed from his name

I've heard that too but did not know the reason behind Salman's decision. I thought the movie was about Indian women's team winning.
Anyway glad SRK acted in it. Its one of his better roles.

Glad he refused it. SRK was great and I don't think Salman would have done justice to the role with his immaturity, I mean look at the reason for why he declined lol

That is old story..
As far as salman signing the new Yrf film.. I hope he pays attention to the script rather than then the banner..
Yrf films are hyped.. When was the last time Yrf gave us a movie worth watching??? Specially this year ... Most of Yrf movies have been disappointing.. I hope he just doesn't sign because of the banner.. He pays attention to script..

This is what I have heard to that he didn't like the ending, he wanted the final match against Pakistan and the director didn't agree to it, so he said NO. Even then the reason is stupid and lame.

I am glad that SRK did this role too, he did complete justice to the role and this is my most favourite movie of his😃
