Sanjay Kapoor tells Alia Bhatt not to refer to him as 'Sir' on sets, since he believes there is 'hardly any age difference' between the two.

Alia Bhatt is currently in Leeds, UK, filming Queen director Vikas Bahl's next, Shaandar, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. Keeping her company is Sanjay Kapoor who has a pivotal role in the romcom which revolves around a destination wedding. "I play the brother of the guy who is marrying Alia's sister," informs the actor, who is having a blast despite the erratic English weather. "It's a lot of fun, I didn't think I'd enjoy acting so much."

Elaborating on how the film came to him, Sanjay says, "Vikas called me during Tevar's wrap-up party and offered me the part. I had seen both the films he had directed - Queen and Chillar Party - and was kicked about being a part of his next."

Sanjay who is best remembered for Raja opposite Madhuri Dixit and Sirf Tum with Priya Gill and Sushmita Sen, has only been seen in small cameos for the past decade and was last seen in the May release Kahin Hai Mera Pyar. Asked how he feels being back in front of the camera, he reasons, "Well, I can't really say that I was away because I was busy doing other things. I was busy with Tevar. My character in Shaandar has comic elements and most of my scenes are with Alia who is a gem."

However, what has been bothering Sanjay is that the actress refers to him as 'Sanjay sir' on the sets. "I keep reminding her to drop the 'sir'," he asserts.

Does he want her to call him Sanjay uncle then? "Why uncle?," he retorts, sounding horrified. "There is hardly any age difference between us. On a serious note, I had seen Alia's films. She's one of the most talented actresses amongst the new lot."
