This statement of Alia's makes it seem that Shandaar won't release in 2015...but why...I wonder...😲

Aisa kuch nahi hai, I'm just four films old. And for the next one year I won't be in seen on screen because Vikas Bahl's Shaandaar with Shahid (Kapoor) and Ayan Mukerji's superhero film with Ranbir are a long way off. I have to keep my head on my shoulders

Shahid Kapoor, who is basking in the glory of his flawless performance in Vishal Bharadwaj's HAIDER, is currently gearing up to shoot for his next film, Vikas Bahl's SHAANDAR.

The film sees Shahid pair up with B-town's hot sensation Alia Bhatt.

Ask Shahid how has it been shooting for SHAANDAR and he reveals, ''It has been great. I am working with my father Pankaj Kapoor in SHAANDAR. He is playing Alia's father and my sister is playing Alia's sister, so my family has been taken away from me. It has been exciting to work with Vikas Bahl. I loved his last film QUEEN.''

He further adds, ''Also I am working for the first time with Madhu Mantena, who has been a close friend of mine. Then I am collaborating with Karan Johar for the first time. We have been trying to work for last 7-8 years and finally it has worked out. I am pairing up with Alia for the first time. So there are lots of exciting factors in SHAANDAR. I am really excited for it.''

SHAANDAR has been directed by Vikas Bahl and is being jointly produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Phantom Films.
