The trailer of the movie is so fab that it can shut mouth of the people who think it was wrong to cast PC

This is certainly a debatable and rather valid issue. I read another very good article on this on Firstpost few days after the trailer released. It counter questioned every reason that the normal public wud give abt why PC is a better choice for the role than a north eastern actress.
Especially the point about box office was well explained. Today, films with newcomers are being accepted if they are promoted well and content is strong. And this film even has big names backing it.

Forget taking a Tibetan actor, the makers didn't even go for someone from North east part of India. And took a director who doesn't have either facial resemblance or serenity on face, to act as the Dalai Lama!

Well I do think choosing an actress from the North-east would have been good for getting MK's physical appearance right.

Your posts are always sensible. Agree. PC is a miscast however, she doesn't look half as bad in the trailers. Let's see how the film fairs.

Then again,I do think it would not have created enough buzz throughout the country.

A known face like PC would interest the masses and thus MK' story would have gained more limelight. And who knows,this migh actually change the mindset of some people who dont think of North-east people a part of India.

How could her face interest the masses when she only got 8% votes in MT's poll?

If getting 100 crore movie was the only goal, why they didn't go for Katrina or Deepika? hmm
