Though one has to agree SRK is the most consistent actor/star just like Bachchan, both Aamir & Salman have had bad phases in their career but never SRK, m not his fan, but his consistency @ BO is amazing ...

About BigB, I dunno, don't belong to that era, but whatever I hve heard from my dad and uncles is that he was the only star in the 70s nd 80s whose film used to run in the theatres for months ... He was invincible no wonder he was voted by the public as the Star of the Millenium

That is the reason he is sandwiched between Salman / Aamir. He was consistent & when huge Record Clubs came in game, he got a setback, took almost 4 years to give BB 2nd biggest hit of the year. That's y even his consistency couldn't help in giving BB when they were needed badly specially from Ra.One to JTHJ, finally it came with CE.

He wasn't that big in 90's as Salman was ruling & when Salman landed in controversies, he started giving consistent big hits... but it was Aamir with 2009's decade biggest hit did the dent & Srk couldn't beat him.

Srk is consistent no doubt, but when needed he underperformed some time.

I just responded to the table that you posted and your point about solo or multi starrer films.

Funny how you have included even least successful, average, below average films of Dharmendra in his success table but call Amitabh's Abhimaan etc as flops. Abhimaan was semi hit, Mili, Ganga Jumna Saraswati, Toofan were average.

Where are your verdicts from? Many of the films you listed, their verdicts are not online.

Never heard of Dharmendra being crowned second superstar after Rajesh Khanna.

Amitabh is no way media made because for your kind information there was press ban on him for 15-16 years in his prime! No one ever mentioned him. He started speaking to media only in late 80s! A guy who is not even on talking terms with media was a media made star. Yeah right!

Aamir has the most ATBBs,but has only 10 hits. I think he has lost out to many hits in between 2001-2005 and 2009-2012 time period. .
