Anyways, so yesterday I went to go watch Kick with the family plus my relatives here in Jalandhar. I'm spending vacations here in India so I thought I wouldn't get a chance to watch it in the States so I might as well go watch it here.
We went late afternoon yesterday and there wasn't a lot of people in the theater surprisingly. (I think it was because of the heavy rain that areas around Jalandhar experienced.)
We enjoyed the movie. :D
I personally loved it and thought it was Salman's best after Dabangg. The editing was choppy at parts, like when Randeep is introducing Salman's character Devil and it jumps into the Yaar Na Miley sequence (by the way, did I mention how much I love this song?)
You can tell some parts were rushed. Other parts needed to be more emphasized on (such as Salman's relationship with his father, Shaina-Devi's love story, etc.)
Jacqueline was a pleasant surprise in the movie. She can both act and dance very good, plus she's ridiculously beautiful. But I wished they had a bit more Jac-Salman at the end because after he jumps from the building, we never see what happens to Shaina after that and what her thoughts and feelings are.
Randeep, Nawaz, and Mithun were very good in their respective roles. So was Shaina's dad as a humorous character. :D
Salman was of course, Salman. I personally liked his Devi character more than his Devil character but I can really tell he's improved his acting. (Or at least taking things a smidgen more seriously. :D)
His dancing and smiles throughout the movie. <3
The theater laughed when Salman was motioning Randeep to let him pass. I thought it was cute. Small things like that make the big things worthwhile. :D
The backdrops were amazingly beautiful too.
Again, the direction and editing was choppy but it didn't distract too much.
I honestly wasn't expecting this movie to make or break any records because unlike Salman who doesn't bother, we see some stars promoting their movies months and months before the release date *cough*, non A-lister heroine, not being a franchise, Ramadan and monsoon period, etc etc.
I don't rate Salman movies, as I'll be extremely biased being the Salman fan I am but if anyone would like to know, I'd give this 4/5 stars.
Now, I can't wait for my name to trend on Twitter as well. ⭐️
On a serious note, this movie will not only add another blockbuster to Salman's list, but make my love for him stronger. :))
Hopefully today (Eid) is going to be great box-office wise for the film.
