She was in Bangladesh few years ago. She said her family is from Netrokona. She wanted to visit her parents home in Netrokona but had to go back to India.

Many Indians have root in Bangladesh.

Amartya Sen (Dhaka), Suchitra Sen (Pabna), S.D. Burman (Comilla), Jaya Bhaduri (Netrokona), Ritwik Ghatak (Dhaka), Mithun Chakraborty (Barisal) and many more.

Just because she has some family members in Bangladesh doesn't mean she is also from Bangladesh. Before 1947 the whole of Indian sub-continent was one single country. It's common for people living in bordering states to have some relatives still living in neighboring countries. But Jaya Bhadhuri is not from Bangladesh, as was your initial assertion.

Suchitra Sen was originally from Pabna, Bangladesh. Same with Jaya Bhaduri. Her mother, father were originally from Netrokona, Bangladesh. She may have born in Jabalpur, India but her parental house is in Bangladesh. 😛
