Anyone in this world will tell Ranbir is a star. If it hit your emotional chord, i m sorry for that. obviously, i had wanted to say superstar. the issue was being discussed in comparison to Khans.

I don't know... But I feel Hritik still owe us a comedy role... 😆

He still needs to do a movie where he would impress me...sorry but be it Rockstar or Barfi SRK, Hritik or Salman has done many movies worth those...

RK fans should own success n failure of RK in equal stride.

Yes, 20 crore opening shows that he has a fanbase. That doesn't mean every movie will open like that! 😆 So, until he shows a consistent 20+ opening for next few movies, fans shouldn't jump the gun too much imo.

RK has more to explore...a very long long way...he has certain limits and comfort zone

I haven't watched Barfi...never excited me to watch it...rockstar, i have watched 3-4 times mainly for its music...Ranbir has done good in rockstar but then it cud have been done equally better or more by HR or SRK I guess...even Ranvir for that matter...it was not such a difficult role as people have projected it to be...infact if you look at initial scenes where he says "Hi, I love you" etc he is little much like HR in KMG which I thought was a little overdo...

Tbh. Besharam failed because of its content. The story was boring.. even compared to Dabanng and the likes. I bet if it even had an average script, it would've done well.. a 20 cr opening does indicate that to me atleast.

HR can't pull off comedy, SRK is quite good but only exceptional at romance, Salman.. no comments. Ranbir I feel is extremely versatile, a Jordan and Bunny are so different from each other.. but he pulled both off with ease. Maybe it indeed has to do with the "Kapoor" genes.. as Bebo likes to believe.

Though I have heard from Mumbai relatives how he has been watching Bolly films since he was kid, he used to watch one film many times so he could pay attention to each emotion and expression, imitate the dance moves, etc. Unlike others he always wanted to become an actor. So he did work hard, even though he didn't have to considering his filmy background. I guess it's all paying off now.
