20 crores opening is good...but the end result is Besharam is a flop...and what matters most is the end result not the opening...

More than the director , its the content & audience response which matters & u can see how Dabangg and Besharam were poles apart in that. And anyways , that was Salman Khan , the biggest Star of BW today .
And yes , he will be blamed being a lead actor .

I see this a lot. None of them even remotely made such claims like he's greatest but such things are made to bash him. I have been active here for sometime. Even topic starter isn't a RK fan. Far from it. He used to bash him constantly before suspected trolling.

Comparing Zoya to SLB or Anurag Kashyap is like comparing Ayan Mukherjee to Aditya Chopra 😆 for now... that's a fact because i am a fan of all of them so i can say it.

again, bashing happens to those who are in the lead. RK fans really have to stop expressing disappointment for it. Take it in the stride and hit haters with sharp facts. Right now, u can't do that becoz last film of RK was a flop with a 20 cr opening!!. In other words, it was a disaster. So, right now, neither shold he claim to be the best actor over khans nor bigger star. Because if he was, besharam wouldn't flop after a 20 cr opening.

That's not the point. You compare actors and their roles. SRK wasn't first choice for CDI. Doesn't make him a lesser actor., Besides, not everyone rate SLB in the highest regard. Many call him overrated and I've seen many neutrals here bash RL as well.

i know, and i don't like him even a bit. It doesn't mean i will claim Zoya is a bigger name than SLB. I don't write here with emotions 😊, facts are facts... just because the forum doesn't like him doesn't mean he is an idiot. He has 3 filmfares, he commands a respect among other directors and whole industry. phew, who is Zoya then!

Could anyone pull off Besharam though ? The movie would've failed regardless of who starred in it. If Ranbir comes in a proper masala flick I'm sure he'll rock. If Shahid can score with Rajkumar then why not Ranbir?

My personal view- salman and akshay would have save it from flopping. People couldn't relate to suave urban ranbir in such a tapory role. Don't know who to blame but everyone must share it i guess. It also helps to put this claim to rest at least for now- that ranbir is a bigger star or actor than khans. No stats to prove it.
