There are many actresses who have struck gold within 4 films. For example Aishwarya Rai's 3rd film was HDDCs and 4th was Taal. An epic improvement from her first two movies. Rani's third film was KKHH, and Preity had emerged a big name in her first 4 movies (Kya Kehna, Dil Se, Soilder etc)

Even recently. look at Anushka...(Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, was her first movie, and BBB her third). Even Kareena, Chameli was her 4th movie, and people liked her in K3G which was her 3rd.

Alia has followed a similar pattern, with her first movie being a dud, and the next three solid iconic performances.

So please Deepika/Priyanka fans, lets not use the excuse of "they debuted in a time where there weren't any good roles" If actresses before them could've done it, then there is no reason why they didn't click with audiences in the beginning of their career.

I am not taking anything away from their current accomplishments, but a fact is a fact- they both had weak starts and Alia has had a stronger one- and that's a fact.

Then she also had BP in 2004, one of the only women centric films which made TRIPLE profit for itself. Raincoat also came in 2004, one of her most critically acclaimed performances. Then there was also Chokar Bali in 2003 as well

Deepika debuted with OSO , Which was a huge hit and she impressed the audience .. she got mot thw debutant awards .. love Aaj kal was a huge hit too and she was nominated for best actress ..
Priyanka too won many debute awards .. in her third movie Airltraz she was so impressing and she stole kareena thunder. .

And for your information, KKKG and chamili weren't kareena's 3rd and 4th movies .. chamilie is her 12 or 13th movies 😆

But the movies like Choker Bali and Raincoat were the"artsy" movies of that time. They find not get released to their full potentials.

DP was such a poor actor for so many years. Didn't have much screen presence. I think a better actress would have made OSO and LAK their own. PC has always been a tremendous performer and proved it when she got the scope to perform in Aitraaz. Alia too improved quickly after SOTY and is a noted performer now.
