I agree but times have changed. These days all kinds of movies are accepted. People are willing to experiment with cinema & audience is open minded to watch all kinds of movies.

If u want to compare then compare alia with shraddha or parineeti or even sonakshi.Why compare her with senior actresses like priyanka and deepika?

If I compare the crop of new actors like - Allia, Shradha, Parineeti, then I have to say that Allia is WAY WAY ahead of the other two. She has proved herself in different roles and has challenged herself.

Parineeti was good in the begining but now she is limiting herself to Adi kind of movies..Shradha might take the lead if she is superb in Haider.

but they all have one thing in common

all have AMAZED audience

after seeing PC's first 4 movies where she barely had anything substantial I thought she might end up being an item girl- never thought she would become a NA award winning actress doing movies like barfi and MK

dpad- I am speechless at her transformation- her sex appeal, her acting- everything about this woman is TOP NOTCH -she has improved so much

I hated aloo in SOTY but what happened after- I was jaw dropped

Not only Alia, but also Parineeti ...

Alia and Parineeti first 4 films and performancea are far better than any actresses .. be it Deepika, Priyanka, Kareena, Aish, .. etc

I don't know wither its their smart choices, opportunities, or the support from KJO and YRF..

But its a fact that they impressed the audience and critics within few years and movies unlike the senior actresses.

deepika has just started to show her potential. and as for priyanka... she may not have had as many hits as other top actresses but in my opinion she has the most impressive filmography of anyone in the past decade. hopefully alia will show the same growth that PC and DP have shown thru the years
