This outsider and insider comparison is dumb. In the end audience is the one who decides the fate.

Alia proved her worth in her movies, while PC & DP took time. As PC & DP at the beginning of their career were mediocre. PC has become really good actress now while I still think DP needs to improve.

But does it matter? Deepika is no.1 actress right now and Priyanka is strongest actress in Bollywood right now! I am gonna take pride in that rather than regretting their choices, which they did ages ago!

Alia had a better start than a of people not just DP and PC in fact I feel it was better than Bebo, Karishma, Aish. They're all talented but I feel it's more to do with the opportunities that were available to them. It's easier now to do a female orientated film like Highway and show your mettle whereas 5/6 years ago it wasn't so they had to make do with playing second fiddle and so there wasn't enough scope to show their full potential.

Also for me the quality of BW cinema has improved if you were to compare recent films (not Humshakals and the likes) to films made 7-10 years ago. Whenever a somewhat old film comes on TV I always find myself wondering how people thought it was good 😆
