Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan comforts heartbroken Abhira while Geetanjali waits for him at home

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a man introduces himself as a doctor and insists on checking Anshuman's condition. Abhira, confused, tells him that Anshuman had been perfectly fine until now and asks what suddenly happened to him. The man examines Anshuman and then gives a heartbreaking update, he is not breathing. When Abhira asks for clarity, the man apologises and reveals that Anshuman is no more. He even tries to close Anshuman's eyes, but Abhira stops him angrily. She questions how he can call himself a doctor, saying that Anshuman is young, healthy and physically strong, and nothing serious could have happened to him. Determined, she insists on taking him to the hospital, convinced that the doctors there will treat him and bring him back. She tries to encourage Anshuman to wake up by counting, but when he does not respond, she panics and calls out for people to help her take him to the hospital.

Armaan's Regret and Confession

Elsewhere, Armaan revisits his favourite spot where he sees his and Abhira's belongings burned. He realises that Abhira must have come there and left. Filled with guilt, he feels that since he has hurt her, he deserves to suffer too. He regrets marrying Geetanjali, knowing that she would have still attempted to create problems between Abhira and Maira. Deep inside, Armaan admits to himself that he loves Abhira and always will.

Abhira's Pain and Anshuman's Soul

Meanwhile, as the doctors continue their checks, Abhira tries to comfort Anshuman in her thoughts, telling him not to worry because medical help would surely save him. She pleads with him to wake up but notices the sadness on the doctor's face, which worries her even more. In an unexpected turn, Anshuman's soul speaks to her. He tells her that he never imagined someone would stand by him during his final moments and expresses his gratitude for her presence.

He also leaves a message for Maira, advising her to eat without restrictions, reminding her that even the healthiest people can pass away suddenly. Abhira, however, cannot bring herself to accept that he is gone. She goes into the room again, clinging to hope. She desperately begs him to open his eyes, stating it would be impossible for her to raise Maira alone. She breaks down in tears, unable to face the thought of losing him.

Family Reacts to the Tragedy

Armaan returns home, where Kaveri and Vidya attempt to tell him that Anshuman and Abhira were not married, but Armaan shuts out their words. Abhira calls the Poddars to inform them about Anshuman's death, prompting Armaan to rush to her side.

Tanya, confused by the crying around her, asks the Poddars what happened. Maira questions Abhir if Abhira has forgotten her after marrying Anshuman and wonders whether Abhira and Anshuman visited their house. Abhir consoles Maira, but is shocked when he learns about Anshuman's death.

Investigation and Tension

The inspector takes Anshuman's body for a postmortem and begins questioning Abhira. Armaan interrupts and halts the investigation temporarily. Tanya again asks the Poddars what happened and requests Kajal to respond. Sanjay asks Krish to assist Tanya, but Krish admits he lacks the courage to face her.

Tanya recalls how Anshuman had behaved similarly after their parents' death and tells the Poddars not to cry. Eventually, Manisha informs Tanya of Anshuman's demise, though Tanya refuses to believe the news.

Armaan tells the inspector to continue the investigation later. He then comforts Abhira, telling her to cry her heart out as no one can lessen her grief today.

Geetanjali Waits for Armaan

At the same time, Geetanjali is shown waiting for Armaan. Digambar tells her that he understands the way she might have forced Armaan into marrying her. He advises her to end this relationship and let him go to the person he truly loves. However, Geetanjali refuses to accept his words. She remains firm in her decision and is determined to hold on to Armaan instead of letting him go.
