I watched company as well but I never knew it released in 2002. Ajay for sure was robbed then. I love that movie. I don't like ajay at all offscreen but he's a great actor and his performance in company was really good.

And I am a huge Srk fan and don't like ajay offscreen nature at all

The only best actor awards SRK deserved are for CDI,Swades and Kabhi haa kabhi naa.Rest all are undeserving

Filmfare's standard has gone. Earlier only merit mattered. Deewar is a Yash Chopra film, and one of Amitabh's best performances. Yet the best actor award deservingly went to Sanjeev Kumar for Aandhi that year. They gave best actor to Amol Palekar too for Golmaal.

If it was today's criteria then only superstars and hits would get awards. Others ignored or given token like critics award!

Screen awards are far better. Ajay won for zakhm there over srk in KKHH

And it was a tie for Devdas n BS..they both won the best actor awards for that year.although they should have give to Ajay

Oh my, sorry KPH you know I do love SRK, but have to mock his achievements in this case. Devdas is like an excellently wrapped gadget with all the bells and whistles but fails to even perform 20% of the time. Great sets, songs, costumes and so on, but so, so, so bad.

I do think the glory of Cannes and all the hype was what got the awards, like the Oscar for Julia Roberts. It was more for other achievements than the actual film or acting.

It was Ajay who deserved it IMO. Understated and phenomenal.

Jitesh Pillai once wrote an apology editorial for Filmfare not giving best actor award to Amitabh for Deewar. Proves how much they kiss starry boots now!🤢
