Did SRK deserve best actor award for the year of 2002?

Ok before some of you jump the guy let me say this.

I love SRK he is my most fav hero.

now that's out of the way i want to know how everybody feels about SRK winning the best actor awards

His performance was good in devdas (although the movie just meh) but i also watched

Ajay's Bhagat Singh and his performance was better that of SRK but SRK won most big awards.

Ajay won National award for BS n also won critics filmfare award.

what I'm asking is why not the best actor awards n critics both if he deserves it? is there a rule against

that? why do awards always try to please everyone? can't they be fair.

i know some of you will use this topic as a reason to bash SRK n mocks his achievements.

if you don't have much to share about the topic in hand

Yes I think he deserved it for devdas. I like his performance. Actually performance were only good things in devdas.

It's not my most fav Srk movie but I think Srk did his best and I am glad he got his share of praises. The movies he didn't deserved awards for wrre dil toh pagal hai, kuch kuch hota hai, my name is khan.

But he totally deserved it for DDLJ, devdas, swades, chak de india.

I never watched ajay bhagat Singh though. So I can't say if ajay performance was better or not. So I might not be the best person to say something on this

RoAya yup that's true at least Ajay got that.

@Saraa I'm not saying he was bad in Devdas i already said he was good.

but if others were better than will it be fair? that's all I'm asking here.

Edit the post 😊 I didn't watched bhagat Singh so can't tell for sure if ajay deserved it more or not. I am sure he must had been good. Srk was really good in devdas but ajay might be better than him that I don't know 😊

Sorry to say but SRK was hamming in Devdas. He did not deserve award. Ajay deserved to win for either Bhagat Singh or Company. I am glad he got the biggest award of them all! The National.

Honestly most these awards are useless. They are there to recognize talent and I feel that even a simple nomination means some form of acknowledgement for the work that was done. It's not all about winning.

Having said that I'm a huge SRK fan and anytime he wins an award I squeal and scream with joy. But it is a fact that he hasn't deserved all the awards he has won. He was brilliant in Devdas. Very convincing as the character. I connected with him, laughed with him, cried with him. But I can't ignore Ajay's performance either. He was amazing and his role was so much more powerful...maybe because he played a real life character. But point is it was a more impactful role that Ajay played extraordinarily well. So I thought he deserved it more than SRK.

But I don't give much importance to most of these awards. They are just their for entertainment and to recognize talent.
