deepika is still very much happening ...and next yr she has 2 big movies coming. i am looking forward to imtiaz's next with ranbir..i heard ar rehman is doing the music.

but alia is closing the gap fast. yes she is lacking the maturity, but like i said many times, she has age on her side. the question we should be asking..is alia going to have a longer run than dips?

So was Kareena. Kareena actually have been written off many times in her career..So DP being written off has nothing to do with her being an outsider..because even star kids like Kareena can be written off.

In Saturday song, Alia looked fine ..but Varun completely overshadowed her with his quality dancing! ⭐️

I didn't say she didn't work hard, she did...but to IMPROVE as an actor. That was her struggle, being accepted for her craft, NOT for opportunities as such...like star kids.

Star kids' struggle mainly involves being accepted by the audience and learning to act. Outsiders struggle to GET films, get the RIGHT films, being accepted by BW insiders and their support, for media support, PR, grooming and many more things in addition to being accepted by the audience.They don't have luxury of opportunities and a few flops means they're done for. Deepika, as far as I know, never had issues getting films or publicity or getting media to talk about her. Her only issue was being called wooden. She was always working with A-listers from the beginning, always in the news...she had decent films too, that she couldn't capitalize on them is a different story. She didn't even have to audition for OSO. SRK and Salman both offered her films. SRK-Farah went everywhere and behaved like she was the best thing to have happened since sliced bread...and then she had films with YRF, Imtiaz Ali after JWM, other A-listers...That's what I meant by her struggle is the same as a star kid, not an outsider.

There was interview with Kangana/Vidya/Nimrit and Deepika...the others had so many more stories to talk about in how they struggled to make a mark...Vidya talked about how she started thinking she was unlucky and all because all her films wouldn't even get MADE..let's not even get into all the names she was called..when Kangana was talking about how she had to do films just for money to survive, Deepika totally blew her off and put her down for it because she couldn't even begin to understand why anyone would have to do that.. I'm not saying she didn't struggle or didn't work hard to get where she is, but that she didn't really have an issue with opportunities like other outsiders do.

Alia will most certainly be a numero uno in the next 2-3 years but definitely not now. Alia's current competition isn't DP but Pari. Shraddha is too meh.

Pari is a more natural performer than Alia IMO. She can be cute and intense at the same time. If people here think Alia pulled off a film like Highway (second film), Pari pulled off an intense film like Ishaqzaade in her second outing. Not to forget it was Arjun's debut movie too. The problem with Pari is her script sense. She keeps playing same annoying girl roles which gets quite monotonous after a while. On the other hand, Alia has a much better script sense than Pari.

Alia has a baby face. She can pull off roles like Veera, Ananya and Kavya because I feel somewhere they were written keeping Alia in mind. I could see glimpses of Alia in these characters. But to pull off a role like Leela, Veronica or Naina, you need to look sexy and mature enough. We can give Alia another 2-3 years but it's too early to compare now. DP became a better performer in all these years. Alia doesn't need to improve performance wise, but requires certain maturity level to pull of such roles.
