The shooting of the film is currently going on in full swing, and while the first look of the film is eagerly awaited, some die-hard Salman fans have come up with posters of the film.

The fan-made pictures look impressive, although it has strong resemblances to Salman's previous characters from films like "Kick" and "Ek Tha Tiger". Besides Salman, the posters also feature Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is based on the love story of a Muslim man (played by Salman) and Hindu Brahmin woman (played by Kareena). The story also has a little Pakistani girl who loses her way on the India-Pakistan border and the "Bodyguard" star takes up the responsibility to re-unite her with her family back in Pakistan.

Several leaked images from "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" sets have also surfaced online, raising the curiosity among the fans.

There were also rumours that Kareena had just a cameo and not a full-fledged role in the film with a screen time of about 20 minutes. However, director Kabir rubbished the reports and said the actress indeed has an important role in the film.

Also featuring Nawazuddin, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is slated to hit threatres during Eid, this year.

It was recently reported that Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has a pivotal role in the Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will be seen playing a Pakistani politician in the film. However, a source now reveals that while the actor is playing a Pakistani in Kabir Khan's directorial venture, the role is not that of a politician.

The source says, "A number of reports were put out specifying that Nawaz is playing a politician in the film, but actually, his role is that of an ISI agent."

The insider also reveals that the actor will soon shoot a few important scenes for the film in Kashmir. "Nawazuddin is set to leave for the shoot next week," adds the source.

Slated for Eid 2015 release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan also features Kareena Kapoor in a pivotal role.

Once Nawaz wraps up the shoot of the film with Salman Khan, he will get ready for the next schedule of his film with Shah Rukh Khan.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is currently facing a trial for culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the 2002 hit-and-run case, might not go all out to promote his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, it seems...

A little birdie claims that Salman's lawyers have advised him to keep his appearances to a bare minimum due to the court case going on against him and accordingly, Salman has reportedly asked director Kabir Khan to not get into a promotion overdrive for the film, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

However, trade analysts claim that this would not affect the earnings of the film as Salman's films do not need much promotions anyways and his strong fan base is enough to make the film a success at the box office.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who will be next seen in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" has shared some photos from the sets of the Kabir Khan directorial.

The actor shared photos of Kabir Khan, his wife Mini Mathur, choreographer Remo D'Souza and others on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 7 April.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" tells the love story of a Muslim man, played by Salman and Hindu Brahmin woman, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan.


The film, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is set to hit the threatres during Eid, even though it was earlier reported that the release date will be postponed due to the flood in Kashmir, where the film is majorly shot.

Salman's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya is scheduled to release on 11 November 2015. The film also has Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Swara Bhaskar in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, in the latest development in Salman's hit-and-run case, the prosecution on Monday called Salman's driver Ashok Singh a "liar" during the hearing of the infamous 2002 case. Ashok had claimed that he was driving the actor's white Toyota Land Cruiser, which rammed into a shop in suburban Bandra on 28 September 2002, killing one and injuring four others.

Much like his contemporaries, Salman Khan has lately been sharing on-set tidbits with his fans.

The latest are two behind-the-scene videos of a "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" song sequence reportedly titled "Beta Le Le Selfie" being shot at Film City, Mumbai. Dressed as lord Hanuman, tiny dancers groove to the beats while entertaining Salman, who too occasionally matches steps.

Reports suggest, after the superstar finishes shoot in the city, he along with Kareena Kapoor Khan will move to the valleys of Kashmir for a month-long schedule.

"70 percent of the shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan is done. Now, we have one long schedule in Kashmir in the months of April and May. As far as security arrangements for Salman is concerned, it's all being taken care of. Yes, the security bandobast would be elaborate," director Kabir Khan told Subhash K. Jha.

In other news, sources claim the first-look poster is ready and is set to release by March end. In 2014, it was widely reported that the "Kick" star will hand-paint it, after which it will be digitalised.


"The makers have already finalised the poster. It's ready. But the team wants a grand release of the same," DNA quoted an insider as saying.

Slated for a 16 July release, the film follows the love story of a Muslim man (Salman) and a Hindu Brahmin girl (Kareena), and their tryst with a lost Pakistani kid who strays away only to find herself at the Pak-India border. Shot across New Delhi, Mandawa, and now Mumbai, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a key role.

Kabir Khan, the director of the new Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, feels the Kashmir schedule of his film which starts next week must not be disrupted because of the flood situation.

Explaining why it is imperative that Salman Khan meet the deadline Kabir says. "You have to understand Salman's first visit to the Valley is a huge boost to their morale. The Kashmiri population is very excited about his visit. If we put off the schedule because of the floods, there will be tremendous disappointment."

Foreseeing the kind of welcome that no Bollywood star has received since Shammi Kapoor and Rajesh Khanna shot for Kashmir Ki Kali and Daag respectively, the local administration has agreed to provide unprecedented security for Kabir's crew.

Says the director, "I had a done a brief schedule of my Saif-Katrina film Phantom in Kashmir. I had even met Omar Abdullah. The entire administration had been very co-operative. This (the Bajrang Bhaijaan) schedule is much longer."

What Kabir diplomatically leaves unstated is that it involved a much bigger star than Phantom's Saif Ali Khan.

Salman's fan-following in Kashmir is equivalent to what Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt combined probably command globally.

Says Kabir, "We've to make the schedule in spite of the floods. There is unnecessary panic about the floods because of the earlier floods. But I don't think it is that serious this time. We'll be okay. The schedule may be pushed ahead by a few days. But we are coming. Salman's fans in Kashmir need not despair."

If sources are to be believed, two contractual workers employed for Kabir Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' are awaiting their medical compensation totaling Rs 31,000 since the last few months.

A unit source says a painter fractured his right hand at ND Studios last December and his medical expenses came to around Rs 26,000. "A month before that, a carpenter was diagnosed with dengue during the set construction and was hospitalised for five days. His medi-claim is about Rs 5,000. But neither of them has been compensated so far," adds the source.
Gangeshwar Srivastav, general secretary of the Film Studio Setting and Allied Mazdoor Union, says: "We sent reminders about the bills to Mukesh Cineworld, the company which provided the contractual workers for the film, but didn't get any response. So, we have now sent the bill to Kabir Khan."
A source close to the production unit says the dues have been cleared, but the contractor may have not disbursed it yet.
An official of Mukesh Cineworld denies the workers' claims, stating: "The money has been given to the union. No medical bill is pending."
Kabir, too, dismisses the buzz. He says, "I checked with the accounts department and there is no such reminder from the union. There was only a medical bill worth R6,000 which was submitted last week."
