because of deepika love affair he got popular and people start calling him next superstar.
But Arjun have given 100 crore solo movie,Sid movie might also touch it.
clearly people are choosing better marketed and good film from younger lot and have no loyalty to anyone now.
ranveer lootera was flop ,gunday was average,ram leela touched 100 crore but deepika have equal hand in it.
while ppl are talking about taking on ranbir he still in league with arjun,sid,varun who could leave ranveer behind.

Thank god Ranveer is just a media hype. I don't want him to be a superstar delivering Dhoom 3, CE and ETT. I would rather watch him focus on his acting and picking good scripts.

He was hailed even after BBB. He is talented! He did not get noticed only for affair with Deepika!

If RL is due to Deepika only then even 2 States is successful due to hype of CB's bestselling novel. Aurangzeb is flop. Gunday is average for Arjun too!

Ranveer does have energy and screen presence. He's here to stay.

Zoya couldn't touch 100 cr with Hrithik-Katrina and overwhelming reviews. Deserved SH at least but got only Hit status.

Anything over 150 cr would be massive surprise.

If you put it that way, then maybe Arjun Kapoor is a media hype too. And so are Varun, Sid and others.

Dude, top directors are going to either Ranbir or Ranveer as first/second options among the new lot. So who are we to judge? People just know that DDD was offered to Ranbir first. But not many know that Bombay Velvet was offered to Ranveer Singh first. Bombay Velvet is going to be a great film and huge step forward for Ranbir's career. He grabbed it with both hands. Ranveer did say that he was sorry to lose out on such a great script. And Ranbir even came to discuss with Ranveer what his take on the character would be.

So, say what you think, but Ranveer is here to stay-- with or without the media hype.

He is just hype and uses DP for publicity.

His Gunday was hyped so much, his pr kept stating super star ranveer will deliver 100 cr. film with gunday but it failed to do so.

he isn't a good actor either, he hams and his dialogue delivery is simply pathetic.

that is the problem of his PR...he over-exercises it...like many others

nowadays people chose good films with a nice script over actors...they are all new and so don't have any star power----it will build in a few years time...100 cr. films don't define ur future...RS is talented, great performer, amazing dancer...yes irritating ta times but very NICE overall...sure he doesn't have much fans right now...and people keep hyping him...but he will have a real strong loyal fanbase in some time if he keeps doing the good work.

He is a talented actor. He comes after only Ranbir.

But is he as popular as Ranbir? No. Or at least I don't think so. I don't wanna put him in Ranbir's league.

Numbers matter more in BW. Until he delivers a hit, he won't be called a star. There's no rarity for good actors in BW but a star should be a crowd puller which he lacks. His crazy attitude is repulsive at times. He still lags behind in the race of numbers when compared to newbies. So for me, he's all hype and not much of substance.
