After working in more than 250 films, the Disco Dancer actor is now set to don the director's cap. "I will soon move behind the camera. At the moment, I have few Bengali and Hindi films in hand, which I hope to complete by March. But my film will be 100 per cent commercial," informs Mithun, who also stars in Mani Ratnam's much-awaited Guru. "This is the best phase for me to experiment as an actor. I have done almost all kinds of roles, but now I am trying to do something different. As it is, there's no specific image for an artist today," he opines. But considering his cult status in Bengal, would the dancing sensation join politics? "No, never," he affirms. "Politics is meant for leisure time. Jab aadmi aaram chahta hai, to rajniti ki taraf badhta hai (When a person wants to rest, he turns towards politics)," says Mithun, adding that he has no complaints against life. "I should also say 'thanks' sometimes," he signs off aptly. |
