Bollywood has completely changed now. Youth would never accept such lovey dovey sugar coated family drama..only the aunties who watches daily soaps on indian television will watch it...It will be a disaster..

People need a break from rom coms of today. You can easily see that they are getting bored, a movie like PRDP would be fresh and I am sure it will rock plus salman is in it.

Abey kuch release toh hone de... poster, synopsis, trailer... kuch bhi 😆
From now people have labelled it sappy romance, family drama etc. I never knew synopsis was out 😕 Anyways, I for one, hope they have kept up with the times but still make it a family drama film 😃

Swara had this to say about the film:
This is a very good thing about Rajshri (productions) that they have maintained that family space with their films. This films is also definitely a family drama and a very interesting film. But some things will be different from their regular films

^ maybe they're making a family drama that is more relevant to modern times 😊

Himesh had this to say about the film:

Soorajji's film takes you back to your roots after a long time. As the title suggests, it is a very traditional, family film. It's going to be one of the biggest films ever made in our industry and the emotional connectivity will be very strong. It is a very universal film and everyone will be able to connect with it. And I don't think anyone can carry a film like Salman bhai can.

"Sooraj Barjatya's film is very traditional but has a very beautiful script. It's definitely going to be one of the biggest films next year and Salman-Sooraj ji combination will take it to another level. The film is exactly in the zone that the Barjatyas are famous for. The kind of traditional values shown in the film is very rare in today's films but Sooraj ji has incorporated it very beautifully and also logically. Every youngster will connect with the message of the film. I also love the title of the film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, as it completely goes with the Rajshri banner. If some other filmmaker attempts to do a film with the title Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, I am not sure if it'll sound good. But when Sooraj ji makes a film with such a title and coupled with Salman's presence, its bang on. It was due to Salman bhai's recommendation that I got this film. I then had a sitting with Sooraj ji and Raj babu and they loved my compositions. Sooraj ji is very particular about the minute details and we are working on it. Irshad Kamil has penned the lyrics."

I rest my case 😉

Your word against mine
Swara's word against Himesh's
I rest my case 😃
And since we're going with Himesh's words - "Every youngster will connect with the message of the film"
Let's see... Irshad Kamil... I think he did Love Aaj Kal songs - I loved his work there.
