I don't think MPK is underated. It capitulated Salman to stardom and was a HUGE blockbuster.

@BI jee and others😆, if Maine Pyaar Kiya was released in mid or late 90s then it would had been the most talked salman movie.

The problem was that it released in 1889 when all types of movies were being made. 80s was all about action masala. But still it was Salman Khan debut movie so people still talk about it but not as much as they talk about Hahk, AAA, HDDCS, tere naam, dabbang ect
