Preity filed the complaint for her protection. He will be cautious and won't harasses and demean her in her work environment as he has been doing till now. And her accusations are somewhat validated with the fact that he's settling.

OK...then I hope that the settlement she gets...she donates it for needy woman...because there is really no price for the dignity of a woman...that way Ness will be punished and some needy would be helped in the process...

Btw Zoom was reporting that this news is not true and that Ness's lawyers denying being approached by Preity for an out of court settlement. I hope that's the case.

They must have CCTV recordings for the evidence..right!!!!but still people need to take rounds of courts for years😲 I don't know abt law..just asking out of curiosity...😊

Yep. It took twenty years to put Sanjay Dutt in jail. Take Salman's case for example. Fifteen years and the black buck case is still continuing, twelve years and the drunken driving case is still running. That's Indian judiciary for the powerful.

Lolo...gol gol gumake it comes to salman.. But in salman case there is no CCTV recordings for evidence where in priety's case there must be CCTV recordings as it is happening in day light stadium...

I disagree. Monetary settlement for a legal case does not mean you are putting a price on something. It just means that you are "getting even" in the form of monetary compensation from the defendant rather than legal means i.e. prison time, fine set by the judge, etc.

When big corporations settle out of court on cases which involve negligence like toxic wastage leak it doesn't mean the deceased's family is putting a price on his/her life. It just means that they would like to move on after hurting the responsible party for their crime and making them think again about their current practices. How can you hurt someone without it becoming a crime? By taking their money from them in the form of compensation. Simple.

If Preity settles out of court, its her money to do with what she wants. Why should she donate it to charity? The charity or the people they support didn't suffer the alleged abuse, she did.

On Preity settling out of court: I don't have an opinion.

I didn't realize that's what people do with their money. I wonder what is stopping SRK from helping all the poor folks in need after sitting on a pile of green notes made at their expense.
