SRK can be a brilliant performer when he wants to be...Ppl say he hams,but when needed he can be subtle.emote through his eyes and can convey everything without dialogues...Even in the video posted above,restrained yet powerful...Sad his acting skills are terribly underutilized in BW movies.

The problem is that if they make brilliant movies like Swades and Lootera and Talaash...and these movies don't work at the BO...then the stars have to revert back to something that may not be good quality wise but would work at BO...because even if they are doing movies that are critically acclaimed...what the producers who hire these actors want is a return on the investment...Actors don't like to be written off...because at the end of the day...movie making is a business...Thats why movies like Swades, Lootera, SP 26 have to be supported by money making movies...Why Aamir had to do D3 or SRK has to do CE or Akshay has to do RR...is to maintain the balance...These movies may do nothing for them as an actor but atleast their BO worth is known...Movies like 3Is and CDI come once in a blue moon that are both critically acclaimed and are money churners too...

but special mention to gayatri as she was the one actually being tested here and man she nails it. Its no joke to audition with such a superstar next to you and nail it this well

I am kinda glad she never came after this..she must have been a show piece or given some lame projects which might not have justified her talent as Bollywood has no place for outsiders despite the talent..look at gracy

at least we will always remember her for her one and only movie where she was BRILLIANT

yet filmfare gave the debut award to Ayesha (another good actor) but seriously for her act in taarzan over this? UNFAIR

and when some talentless (she was talentless back when she started) debutant stars opposite SRK and the movie becomes a BB.. she is given every single award in the country

its only coz of this industry being so biased we end up losing gems like gayatri joshi
