IF is probably the only place where Sridevi has got fans.

Anyway, Madhuri was much much bigger star than Sridevi ever was. To be precise, Sridevi only had hits in her career and she never got any superhit or blockbuster.
Her biggest hit Mr.India was critically acclaimed and hit but wasn't even superhit.
On the other hand, Hindi cinema's biggest hit HAHK was riding on Madhuri's shoulder. She also had other blockbusters like Dil, Beta, Saajan, Ram Lakhan and superhits like Raja(yes that pathetic film was superhit), DTPH, Devdas, Khalnayak and some more.

Superhits of Sridevi - Himmatwala, Karma, Nagina (BOI)

Dil, Saajan, Ram Lakhan are super hit. Not blockbuster. Khalnayak and Raja are hits (BOI), not superhits.

Please do not make up verdicts like that.

But yes, Sridevi does not have an ATBB in Hindi cinema to her credit.

Chandni is rated as blockbuster on some sources, super hit others...no clear proof of verdict.

See i think it makes a difference in which era you grew up too.
I grew up watching Madhuri in 90's. Yes i watched mr.India and some of other Sridevi's movies but she was pretty much gone by the time i was old enough to understand movies. So for me personally, it is Madhuri all the way.

but i m not going to sit here and diss Sridevi's fans either. She obviously was a huge star and gave some great movies. I cant stand her screeching voice but that doesnt mean it bothers everyone else.

Both ladies have contributed a lot to Cinema, there is no point in arguing and discussing this topic over and over and over.

absolute fire...both her and jeetendra- bekaar tushar's daddy.
but hey thats what we call TOP!
these madhuri and sri, NEVER EVER looked vulgar in my eyes. they easily pulled these raunchy numbers, such ease, graceful, glamour ...phewww...
btw...one should get up now and go and watch sri do a charlie chaplin act in miss india and amazingly she clads in a simple navy blue saree and throws one of the most seductive dance. true diva.
kaante nahi katt teh yeh din raat..
as for madhuri's dhak dhak, the saree, the blouse, her moves...
just ufff
btw i am girl...24 going on 25...

When I talked of covered I was talking in comparison to Khuda Gawah and Beta type films. In early 90s only. Otherwise Sri has had her share of exposing and raunchy numbers.

I agree be it MD or Sri they never looked vulgar.

I could never really connect to Sridevi, though I liked her films. Her voice was absolutely unbearable and her laugh even more. Madhuri, on the other hand, was perfect.

But there's no doubt that both were the last true all-rounder female superstars BW had and contributed a lot to BW.

Sridevi.. handsdown, i like madhuri, but sridevi has no competition. she ruled and owned her films irrespective of the male heroes.

BTW, Can some one please tell when a joke like 'Madhuri De Do Kashmir Le Lo' was made about Sridevi. or Any place named after her.
These are even bigger achievements than Madame Tussauds. BTW Aamir was offered to have his statue at Tussauds but he had refused it. As for Rajini, he is in another league, you just can't compare anybody with him.

And please EV wasn't a 100 crore film or had got a huge opening. It worked because of story, if anybody were excited to see Sridevi, it would'have got a huge opening.

Madhuri films do not even have story these days.😛
No one sees her films now either for her or stories.

Sridevi has probably won only one such poll and not many. All other polls are won by Madhuri.

About endorsements, you can see who is having more endorsements now.
Yes Sri's comeback was hit(just hit, neither blockbuster not opened big) and Madhuri's were disasters but it's about whole career and not just about comebacks.
[/QUOTE

Sridevi's list of awards is tremendous. I just gave a few examples dear. MD only has endorsements now. Sridevi is relevant as an actress still.

Yes it about whole career and comeback, respect and relevance even without being active are all a part of it and Sridevi still has an edge here!

You talk of opening of Sri's EV. Madhuri's films neither get an opening anymore nor succeed in long run.

I am same as you. Female, 25.

Wait so when we have to take into account the success its the entire career of Sridevi and not just 90s(in which she delivered only duds) as said by you in your other post. But when we have to compare raunchiness we have to forget that Sridevi did raunchy songs in 80s and in 90s she is covered up? She was covered up in 90s cos others like Madhuri with much better appeal came into the scene. How is it different if Sridevi did raunchy songs in 80s and Madhuri in her 90s and then you are demeaning Madhuri for making a career out of raunchy successful songs.
