Sonakshi and Shahid's late night date

After her birthday party, the actress had a surprise visitor waiting for her

Buzz is that the actress' 'goodfriend' Shahid Kapoor picked up the birthday girl from the venue of the party and the two went for a long drive.

Revealed a friend of the actress, "Shahid was running late and couldn't meet her while she partied in Bandra with her other friends. However, once the do was wrapped up, Shahid arrived and the two spent quite a substantial amount of time together."

Although persistent rumours claim that the duo are in a relationship, the two young actors have never spoken about it in publicly.

"Shahid is really fond of Sonakshi and the two spend a lot of time in each other's company.
Since Sonakshi is in the midst of promoting her upcoming film, she hasn't found the time to catch up with Shahid. So when he met up with her on the eve of her birthday, she was really delighted," the friend added.

Sonakshi, who turned 27 yesterday, celebrated the birthday by getting a star tattoo on her collar bone. However, we can only guess what the gift given to her by the other star was.

Sonakshi and Shahid chose not to comment on the story.
