Yeah well they need good police officers devoid of corruption.

Does India have the secret forces. Who is in charge of monitoring the police force and investigation.

Modi needs to make this one of the fore front issues to be addressed and pass some laws.

Really seems that people in villages and rural areas are left to fend for themselves and do whatever they like.

There needs to be some control.

Oh I didn't read the gang-rape part, was talking about rapes generally. It's the mentality we need to blame of some men. Again, I am not sure if death penalty is the right change.. what we need is law enforcement, even of the existing laws.

women in India need to prepare themselves when they leaving..

The criminals should be hanged infront of village people. They need to see the pain with their eyes to realize what they are going to suffer if they do these crimes.

This is only a short term plan. Long term would be to educate village people and the gap between urban and village has to be narrowed down as much as possible which I know is not going to be easy. But theres no substitution to education and I don't believe an educated person would do such thing barring a few sexual perverts of course.

Sometimes I feel women back home should be allowed to travel with a weapon. I bet no man would dare to rape her.. if she has a gun with her. But this is like the worst solution I can think of.
