Raees Final Schedule will be shot in Ahmedabad & Mumbai' - Nawazuddin

Final schedule of Raees will kick start in Ahmedabad in September with Shah Rukh Khan, post which the shoot will move to Mumbai confirms Nawazuddin Siddiqui

After working with Aamir Khan in Talaash, Salman Khan in Kick and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all excited for shooting with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees.

The actor who shot a few scenes with Shah Rukh Khan in the first schedule of the film will soon start shooting for the final schedule.

Speaking about the shooting of the film, Nawazuddin Said-

"The next schedule of Raees will take place in Ahmadabad. I am done shooting for one schedule and the final schedule will start in September in Mumbai and Ahmadabad.The final schedule will be a big one."

Nawazuddin also shared his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees and had great things to speak about the superstar.

Raees is all set to release in EID next year.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals that he had a great experience shooting with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees and says that his character does not have a Gujarati Dialect in the film.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is perfectly blending his films with commercial and non commercial cinema. The actor who is a part of various small films like Mountain Man, Haraamkhor and many more, he will also be seen in Big Films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Raees.

In an interview with us, when we asked him to speak about Raees, he said-

"I play a cop in Raees. My character does not have a pure local dialect. I am not allowed to speak about the film as this is not the right time to do the same. I shot for a few scenes with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. It was a wonderful experience shooting with Shah Rukh Khan. He is so humble."

Raees is all set to release in EID Next Year.

I'm a little late in commenting but man, the teaser for Raees really blew me away! Shah at his best, badass aura, impeccable dialogue delivery, great look! Does he have an out-and-out negative role in this, anyone know? Also I think I read somewhere that Nawazuddin plays a cop, do we know what Mahira's role is?

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani says he is open to discussing the impending box-office clash of his Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees with Salman Khan-led Sultan with Yash Raj Films' head Aditya Chopra

The Excel Entertainment honcho said releasing the two big films will not be beneficial for anyone.

"Right now, I have full intention to release Raees on Eid next year. 90 per cent of the shoot is over. By November, the film will be complete. There is no ego. I am very fond of Yash Raj films and close to them," Ritesh told PTI.

"I have not got a chance to speak to them but let them start filming Sultan. Maybe Salman, me, Shah Rukh, Farhan and Adi should sit down together and discuss it. It is not beneficial for either one of us to come on the same day.

Business of both the films will be hampered. We will take a call."

Raees, also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in her Bollywood debut, is being directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Sultan, which will see Salman as a wrestler for the first time on the big screen, will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The movie will begin shooting later this year.

The filmmaker said it did not take him much time to convince Shah Rukh, 49, for Raees as he got hooked by the line, Baniye Ka dimaag aur miyanbhai ki daring, which also featured on the film's first poster.

"I called up Shah Rukh and told him there is this director Rahul Dholakia, who has made fine films. I told him the script is wonderful and exciting. I just gave him one line from the film Baniye ka dimaag and miyanbhai ki daring.

"He said, 'I am doing the film'. That's exactly what happened and we both started laughing on the phone. He heard the script after a few weeks and said 'Let's start shooting the film'," Ritesh said.

Now it can be disclosed. Pakistan's charismatic actress, Mahira Khan, went through a gruelling period of adjustment while shooting for the initial shooting schedules of her Bollywood debut vehicle Raees, in which she teams up with Shah Rukh Khan.

It has been learnt that the camera and sound crews of Raees had a tough time, ensuring that Mahira faced the lighting correctly and that her voice was properly recorded for the on-the-spot sync sound.

Often, the actress' face tended to be in the shadows while her dialogue was so soft that she had to be requested to raise her voice so that she was audible. This inevitably required retakes galore.

All's well though. With patience and constant encouragement from director Rahul Dholakia and Shah Rukh, she has delivered an impactful performance in the scenes assigned to her till now. The next Raees schedule is expected to start in October.

According to an eyewitness at the shooting spells of Raees, "At the outset, Mahira did seem to be a problem, technically. Perhaps that was because our style of filmmaking demands immediate dialogue clarity and the skill to come off in a flattering light before the camera."

The 30-year-old television and film actress has impressed audiences at home and in India, thanks largely to the film Bol which was released in India, as well as the TV series Humsafar that became a rage with Asian viewers the world over.
