It made 110 according to BOI go check the site and im only talking on them and yes the verdict was semi hit because was sold to eros at 90 crore or so!! Budget was only 45-50, but sold at high price, and main neg was its low production value!!

Im talking well. Despite the neg points i mentioned in a previous post..

And dabanng1was atbb depending on which chart you pull up at that site, because in 2013 they revised there verdicts on many movies !!

Anyways this thread i think wasnt on that movie!!

Original kick is one of the most amazing comedy movies ever with some really funny scenes. I am not worried about movie getting flop as its not going to but I am worried that Salman won't be able to do justice to the character same as Ravi Teja. This movie was tailor made for Akshay Kumar and I had always thought when remake will be done Akshay will be casted. But still I have huge hope from this movie. And yeah its not masala action movie - its more like heist movie with romance and comedy thrown in.

I found an old article

Salman Khan's Jai Ho', remake of Chiranjeevi's Stalin, was released in more than 5000 theaters across the globe. While everyone expected the film to shatter opening records, surprisingly, Jai Ho' received lukewarm openings at box-office.

Speaking about the poor openings, Salman Khan accepted that Jai Ho' is a flop. He said "we couldn't mix entertainment and message in right proportions. Sohail failed to convey the message convincingly. We realized that pre-release promotions failed to create curiousity among audience. But still, I'm proud of doing Jai Ho'."

Salman Khan's acceptance of Jai Ho's failure is being appreciated by his fans. They say that unlike other stars, Salman don't go for false prestige.

Kick will work. It has the perfect timing.

Sallu had gotten on people's nerves in BB last year. Plus the release of Jai Ho was in Jan (when hardly anyone goes to watch a movie) & word of mouth wasn't favorable.

Audience will accept kick ... jai ho didnt work becoz it lacked almost everythng right from script , songs to leading actress ! It reached the Semi-hit status just becoz of Salman 😉

Kick on contrary looks promisin ... Let the trailer come first n then the discussion can proceed 😛

If it doesn't work it doesn't work, what's the big deal... Maybe that'll be a kick needed for these actors to take their work seriously.. And if it works then yay more such movies😛
