Karan Johar's Shuddhi has been stuck in limbo for the last few months. With no star cast finalized, it seems the movie won't take off soon. After rumours of Aamir Khan being approached for the film, buzz is that Salman Khan has apparently given his nod to the project.
Has he? Well, that's the news floating around. Since Karan Johar has been able to get Salman Khan sharing anecdotes from his life on his famous KWK couch, the director-producer may get the superstar for his magnum opus as well.
Shuddhi was first announced with Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, but the movie got delayed because of Hrithik's illness, also forcing Kareena, who had already done look test for the film, to re-think about the project. Later, when Hrithik walked out of the film, Kareena followed suit.
Since then the names of various actors and actresses have been doing the rounds as the possible lead. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were also said to be almost confirmed, but the couple chose Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani over Shuddhi.

Going by the theme of reincarnation in Shuddhi, don't you think Salman Khan fits the bill. The actor has done movies like Karan Arjun and Suryavanshi -- both on reincarnation.
Salman is currently shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. His next release will be Kick, coming this Eid.
