As a director, his films did well with SRK. He really didn't need an Aamir or a Salman. Plus, I doubt his films would cater to his audiences with an Aamir or Salman...since all 3 Khans have different niches...and SRK's worked well with Karan.

It just never made sense then nor it does now.

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything? Just because his favorite film is HAHK doesn't mean he will work with Salman? Aditya Chopra also loved HAHK. He made all his films with SRK though.

I was trying to say that as a director his muse was SRK. His films worked well with SRK and he never felt the need to work with someone else as a director. He was much closer to SRK than Salman/Aamir anyways..actually he has only become friendly with Aamir now, they didn't really bother with each other before.. Directors tend to repeat successful collaborations. Same way Sooraj Barjatiya worked mainly with Salman.

I was talking about BO success only when it came to Karan the producer. By the time Karan turned producer, Salman was infamous with his innumerable problems. Who would want to bother with that, especially because it wasn't like Salman's films were doing amazingly well either. He had better options. What I meant with Karan not making the kind of films Salman does, I was talking about the South remakes.

As a director, he only worked with SRK. He started producing more movies in the last 5-6 years only. KHNH is the only big budget movie he produced in 2000s that wasn't directed by him, I guess.

Aamir is too selective and Salman was delivering too many flops last decade. He started to find some consistency towards the end of the decade.

Remember Kjo saying his dad produced a series of flop films before KKHH. I think that films success was key for Dharma's survival. He has made it a big PH now and they started expanding recently. Also they went to UTV for YJHD 'cos production budget went overboard. They didn't expect it to be such a big hit and 50 cr budget was enough to get Kjo concerned. That wouldn't be a big issue at YRF for example.

They have started producing more big budget movies after the success of Agneepath and YJHD. 2 States also must have got him good profit. Shuddhi, Rohit Shetty and Ayan's film will be big budget projects.

Yeah KKHH was Dharma's first success. Then K3G. Basically Karan's films with SRK-Kajol made the PH famous. It wasn't a successful PH before then. People think it was like YRF because they made similar films.

Salman- He's petrified of him 😆. He has offered him many movies but it's always been Salman who has shot them down.

I loved Salman as Aman in KKHH so he probably should do a KJo movie. KJo brings Salman out very well. 😳

Aamir- Act in a KARAN JOHAR movie & do Satyamev Jayate? Nahiiin. 🤣
